As I am working again tonight I wanted to get to The Dip early to catch low water. I was at the beach at 9:45 but the wind was onshore and light with a nice swell, I had no choice other than to rig big. The tide was nice and low but coming in and it was tight getting off the beach as the groynes are fairly close together and there were rolling waves too, but I managed to get off ok and beat out a little way toward kite beach at the ferry. The best of the conditions were when the water was at it's lowest and it chopped up as the tide came in. It was nice sailing between the waves and at one point I thought the wind would pick up too much for the 7.8 but in the end it went the other way and dropped :( I was joined for awhile by Peter Ling out on 5.7 and it was good fun gybing down the nice waves before the wind dropped. So not too bad a session shame the sun failed to show it's face but still fairly mid.
